Bedroom community move to incorporate could cost county millions.
A retirement party for outgoing Mobile County Circuit Clerk Susie Wilson will be held this afternoon Friday, Jan. 12 from 2-4 p.m. in the jury assembly room on the 8th Floor of the Mobile County Courthouse. Wilson, a veteran Democratic officeholder, will be succeeded by JoJo Schwarzauer, the GOP nominee who won the office in November. Wilson did not seek re-election. Schwarzauer was sworn in as circuit clerk about three weeks ago. She will take charge of the office beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16.
