A-OK: The Alabama Supreme Court upheld a decision by Mobile County Circuit Judge Rick Stout that citizens in Mobile's Sept. 18, 2007 annexation election had the right to join the city separate from other areas. The judge, a former city council attorney, ruled in favor of the city, supporting its argument that the residential area south of Old Shell Road was distinct from neighborhoods north of Old Shell, including Mobile Terrace.
