Mobile mayoral candidate Ann Bedsole's campaign spent more than $160,000 during the past 30 days in her bid to become the city's first female chief executive in its 300-year history, according to her campaign's latest financial disclosure.
The report showed a beginning balance of $150,352.65 and another $42,400 in cash contributions for the period.
The campaign concluded the final days leading up to the general election Tuesday, Aug. 23 with a balance of $30,094.70.
The former GOP state senator is battling Mobile County Commissioner Sam Jones, ex-City Councilwomen Bess Rich and current District 7 City Councilman John Peavy to succeed outgoing Mayor Mike Dow.

The Bedsole campaign's biggest expenditures during the period were to Timbes and Yeager which places the campaign's advertising with the various print, television and radio broadcast outlets. They totaled about $136,000.
