Bedsole campaign headquarters opens

The campaign headquarters for Ann Bedsole's bid for mayor in this summer's municipal election is open at 1956-H University Boulevard (in the shopping center at the northwest corner of University Blvd. and Cottage Hill Road).

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Beginning Saturday, June 11, the headquarters
will also be open on Saturday mornings.

Yard signs, lapel stickers and campaign literature
are all available, according to Bedsole campaign
spokesperson Carol Hunter, and bumper stickers
will be available in a few days.

The election is set for Aug. 23.

Ms. Bedsole, a former state senator and longtime
Republican, will oppose former Councilwoman
Bess Rich, current Councilman John Peavy and
County Commissioner Sam Jones in a contest to
succeed outgoing four-term Mayor Mike Dow at City Hall.
