Capitol Hill veteran joins MITA Group
DeKeyser brings 30 years of experience to the team
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The MITA Group announced recently that Armand DeKeyser, a 30 year veteran of federal, state and local government, will be joining the firm as a partner. The firm combines its members’ experience in business, technology, government affairs and politics to create comprehensive solutions for its clients.
Former Alabama GOP chairman Bill Harris, Chairman of the MITA Group, believes DeKeyser’s extensive knowledge of Capitol Hill operations will add depth to MITA’s already seasoned public affairs team.

While in Washington, DeKeyser has served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions, building and overseeing his Congressional office and committee work from his election in 1996 until 2005.
After two years in the private sector, he returned to Capitol Hill in 2007 as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Bob Corker, helping him through his transition and first months in office.
During his tenure in the Senate, he developed broad expertise and contacts as he oversaw the policy components of several important Committees including: Armed Services; Judiciary; Energy and Natural Resources; Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions; Foreign Relations; and Environment and Public Works.
A native of Alabama, DeKeyser graduated from Auburn University and has since spent 28 years in Army active and reserve military.
