Bay Minette civic leader joins
James' team in Baldwin County

Baldwin County civic leader and attorney Bob Wills has joined Tim James' Republican campaign for governor as a regional director, James announced today.

“Bob Wills has a long and distinguished record of serving the people of Baldwin County and Alabama," said James. "He’s a leader who will build a strong campaign team.”

“As Baldwin County Regional Director of Tim’s team, I have already begun working on building our grassroots organization," Willis said. "Tim James has a strong base of goodwill and support in Baldwin County, and he should mount a formidable campaign here and throughout Alabama.”

A 1973 graduate of Emory University School of Law, Wills practices law in Bay Minette with the firm of Wills & Simon. He has been very active in the civic affairs of Bay Minette and Baldwin County including serving on the Baldwin County Board of Education for the past 14 years and serving as President three times, legal counsel for Baldwin County Commission for nine years, legal counsel for the City of Bay Minette for 20 years, President of the Baldwin County Mental Health Association for over 20 years.  He has also been actively involved with Bay Minette Rotary Club for some 30 years. He is a board member for the North Baldwin Health Care Foundation.

Wills and his wife, Betty Lou, have been married for 37 years. Their children are Elizabeth Wills Strom and son-in-law Robbie Strom, Robert Jr. and daughter-in-law Katherine, daughter Mary Louise and son-in-law Russ Reynolds. Bob and Betty Lou have five grandchildren. All three of their children graduated from Baldwin County High School and live in Bay Minette.

He is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Bay Minette, where he enjoys teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir.

James last year announced his campaign for governor of Alabama. Since that time, he has campaigned in 40 of Alabama’s 67 counties and now has campaign leadership throughout the state, working to build a grassroots network. He and his wife, Angela, have three children and live in Greenville, Alabama, where he owns and operates his business interests
