An out-of-state developer paid $650,000 for an almost one-acre lot on Ala. 181 in Daphne across from the Eastern Shore Centre and plans to build a 5,000-square-foot Mattress Firm store, according to John Vallas of Vallas Realty. Termac Construction in Mobile will serve as the contractor.
The new Publix Super Market at 2370 Hillcrest Road in Hillwood Plaza Shopping Center at 2370 Hillcrset Road will have its grand opening on Wednesday, according to White-Spunner Realty, which developed the project.
The 45,600-square-foot Publix anchors the retail center which includes Papa Murphy’s Take-N-Bake, Tackle This, Shoot That and new tenants opening soon Pet Supermarket, Hillcrest Urgent Care, Cuts By Us, and Nail Boutique & Spa.
White-Spunner Construction, Zito Russell Architects and Rester & Coleman Engineers were also partners in the project,
White-Spunner & Associates has changed its name to White-Spunner Realty. The firm specializes in sales, brokerage, development and property management, and manages more than 1,000,000 square feet of building space and substantial amounts of acreage on the Gulf Coast.
Dealerz Solutions, an automotive store, has leased a 6,250-square-foot building at 850 Lakeside Drive in west Mobile, according to Ralph Neal of Watson Realty.
The 9,620-square-foot Dollar Tree store opens April 27 in Pelican Place at Craft Farms at 3800 Gulf Shores Parkway in Gulf Shores, according to Chris Tilley, leasing manager. The Dollar Tree will be located next to Books-A-Million.
Mobile County has sold the Cedar Point Fishing Pier on the north end of the Dauphin Island Bridge to the McRae family for $196,237, according to court records. The McRaes have leased the 27-year-old pier from the county for many years. The pier was purchased in the name of Cedar Point Fishing Pier Inc.
