Mobile County District Judge George Hardesty will speak to the Mobile County Young Republicans at 7 p.m. Monday, June 13 on developments in the judicial arena both locally and federally.
Hardesty is a veteran GOP loyalist who has been a defense attorney, prosecutor and more recently a district judge. He is considering a race for the circuit judgeship that will be vacated next year when Judge Ferrill D. McRae retires after 40 years on the bench.
Hardesty is set to address the recent compromise in the U.S. Senate regarding federal judicial appointments as well as "other happenings in local judicial races," said Alex Mathis of the MCYR.
The meeting will be held at Wintzell's Oyster House - West, located at 6700 Airport Blvd.
